PENSKE APPOINTS NEW TOOWOOMBA DEALER

Toowoomba’s Pengelly Trucks and Trailers has been appointed as a selling dealer for Penske Commercial Vehicles, representing the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, and Dennis Eagle brands.

This appointment, which came into effect on October 1, sees Pengelly adding sales capabilities to their current remit providing authorised parts and service capabilities for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, and Dennis Eagle brands to customers in the Toowoomba region.

Pengelly is also an existing dealer of Detroit heavy duty engines, which is distributed by Penske Power Systems.

Having been a Penske Commercial Vehicles dealer for over nine years, the appointment coincides with the second annual Western Star Trucks ‘Show n Shine’ event which will be held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on November 17.

“As an authorised parts and service dealer, Pengelly has been an important part of our customer support network in the south east of Queensland around Toowoomba,” said Kevin Dennis, managing director, Penske Commercial Vehicles.

“We are confident that Pengelly will continue to provide great customer service with this increase in its responsibilities to include sales across Penske’s on-highway brands including Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit.

“Penske Commercial Vehicles has continually worked on improving our network capabilities and our offering to customers.

“Appointing Pengelly as a sales dealer is part of this focus to ensure customers continue to receive the best whole-of-lifecycle care of their assets.

“The Show n Shine event will also be an opportunity for Pengelly to promote its services to the Western Star faithful when they gather in Toowoomba in November.”

Scott Pengelly, managing director of Pengelly Trucks and Trailers, said that the increase in responsibility would see the dealership improve their service offering to customers.

“Pengelly Trucks and Trailers has demonstrated our commitment to both our customers, and Penske’s brands, with almost a decade of experience as a Western Star, MAN, and Detroit parts and service dealer,” said Scott Pengelly.

“Our appointment as a full selling dealership will allow us to better represent the Penske stable and ultimately drive an increased presence of Western Star and MAN trucks on the roads within our region.

“Pengelly prides itself on being a one-stop shop for all heavy transport needs.

“For the convenience of customers, and to ensure quality work output, we operate four workshops dedicated to truck repair, trailer repair, paint and panels, and heavy vehicle wheel alignments.

“Together with Penske, we are striving for an exceptional level of customer service, and are very excited about this opportunity moving forward.”
