Daimler’s global media website has revealed that Transit Systems has inked a large order with Transit Systems in Australia for the supply of 44 new Euro 6 spec bus chassis for operation on Transit Systems Region 6 routes in inner western Sydney, which it runs on behalf of Transport for NSW.
The buses will be supplied from Daimler’s Samano plant in Spain and according to the Daimler information is the biggest single order to be inked by Daimler buses in Australia for more than a decade. has received a purchase order for 44 Euro VI chassis from Transit Systems in Australia.
The Mercedes buses will be fitted with a mixture of both Gemilang and Volgren bodies
The package will include on-site assistance by a service technician as well as driver training.
Transit System is of course now one of Australia’s largest bus operators and has international operations as well as operating in five of Australia’s biggest cities as well as in London and Singapore.
