ALLIANCE KEEPS UP WITH JONESES

Andrew Jones Alliance

Daimler owned parts supplier Alliance Truck Parts will back Andrew Jones again in 2017, taking the naming rights sponsorship of his #8 VF Commodore in the second-tier V8 Supercars category, the Dunlop Super2 Championship.

Alliance has been with the Brad Jones Racing driver for the past two seasons, this year sporting the striking yellow livery and bold black rims.

“What a great looking car! We loved the striking paint scheme from last season, but this new look is even better and even tougher,” said Alliance Truck Parts manager Greg Lovrich.

“We think Alliance Truck Parts customers will get a big buzz watching their car mix it with the best racers in Australia with Andrew at the wheel.”

Alliance Truck Parts offers everything from oil to air conditioning components for a wide range of truck brands. It partners with some of the best suppliers in the industry to offer an affordable alternative to original first fit parts for heavy commercial vehicles.

All parts meet or exceed original equipment supplier specifications for quality, fit and finish and are backed by a nationwide 12 month/100,000 km warranty.

The new design will hit Winton Raceway in Victoria for testing tomorrow, and Jones says he’s confident of strong results in 2017.

“I’m always looking forward to getting in my Alliance Truck Parts Commodore, we’ll be at Winton testing tomorrow and then the Clipsal 500 event will be here before we know it. I have no doubt our cars will again be competitive and we can be fighting for race wins and podiums,” he said.

Jones was sixth last year, scoring pole position at the Perth round and snagging a podium finish at Phillip Island.

“It’s a nice change for the Dunlop Super2 Series to be racing at Symmons Plains and Sydney Motorsport Park this year. The competition will be tough as always and I have no doubt we’ll put on a great show for the fans, with some of those people seeing the Alliance Truck Parts Commodore live in their hometown for the first time.

“It’s fantastic to have Alliance Truck Parts on board for another year. It’s such an exciting brand and each time we visit the team they are always showing us new products from their increasing range. Alliance Truck Parts continues to grow and it’s exciting to be a part of that journey with them,” he added.

Brad Jones Racing is expected to unveil the new look Freightliner Racing Commodore of Tim Slade later this week.
