Mack Trucks today announced its collaboration with Australian clothing brand Cotton:On, which will offer an exclusive line of Mack branded menswear. The new collection utilizes road-worn designs inspired by Mack’s 123-year heritage and continued influence on popular culture around the world.

Trendy clothing brand, Cotton On, has teamed up with an unlikely partner when it comes to a range of apparel but the pairing has resulted in a range of tee shirts, jackets, caps and jeans.

By their own pronouncement, the launch of the unexpected collaboration between Mack and Cotton On has “people everywhere dreaming of adventures and the open road”.

The Cotton On x Mack collection was launched in Australia on 19 July and  the two brands say it is a celebration of Mack’s rich heritage and its impact on American popular culture.

Mack was founded more than 120 years ago in Brooklyn, New York, and of course  is a global icon, and  the two companies point out that this has made it the perfect subject for Amerciana trends currently influencing men’s fashion.

“When we were workshopping the idea of a brand partnership to go back with our

Americana/workwear range so many brands were thrown into the mix but there was one brand that stood above all others, Mack Trucks,” said Guy Cortis, the category buyer for Cotton On.

“It was just a real penny-drop moment when you saw the smile come across the face of whoever was hearing it,” Cortis added.“Think much loved truckers hats, ringer and raglan tees, denim trucker jackets and classic well-worn heritage blue denim jeans. All worn with just the right amount of swagger.”

The companies say that  the global collection ‘reimagines’ Mack’s iconic graphics over the decades and draws inspiration from the spirit of the open road.

Tom Chapman, the vice president of Mack Trucks Australia, said it was great to see the world-famous Bulldog taking residence in Cotton On shop fronts all over Australia and in the homes of everyday Australians.

“Mack Trucks is one of the most iconic and recognisable brands in the world,” said Chapman.

“The Mack Bulldog is more than just a symbol of tough, durable trucks, it’s a symbol of our passionate Mack family and the strong connections we share,” he continued.

“It’s one the very few brands that has managed to transcend its core industry and resonate with the general public, making it a part of everyday vocabulary.”

The Cotton On x Mack collection is available now at and in all Cotton On branded stores across Australia and New Zealand.
