MANAGEMENT CHANGE AT ISUZU

Isuzu Australia has a new managing director and CEO with Hiroshi Nishizaka taking over the helm from Koichi Yoda.

After a four-year tenure, Yoda will return to Japan after Nishizaka officially took over in June.

Nishizaka has been with the company for more than three decades, starting his career in the engineering department after graduating from Keio University.

He then spent four years with Isuzu in Japan before relocating to America, and most recently in the CEO role of Isuzu South Africa.

According to Nishizaka the Australian market is important to the brand.

“Australia is held in extremely high regard by Isuzu Motors Japan and I’m keen to contribute to the continued global success of the brand throughout the region,” Nishizaka said.

“I am excited to continue to work on these key focus points and build on the strong history of business success here in Australia. I will strive to ensure the highest level of effectiveness in sales and operations achieved and maintained.

“Koichi Yoda achieved a great deal during his time here, and I feel extremely honoured to be picking-up where he left off, and look forward to a prosperous future here in Melbourne.”
