Penske Truck Leasing has announced it has just opened iits first stand-alone facility in the southern hemisphere, which will add a second Melbourne location to its network.
Located in the south-east suburb of Pakenham, the new location opened its doors on Monday, 8th September Beach, and the company says it complements the existing Penske Truck Leasing location west of Melbourne, at Altona North.
The new Pakenham branch includes three workshop service bays, a wash bay, parts inventory, and a fleet of new trucks for short- or long-term hire.
“Since launching the Penske Truck Leasing business in Australia in mid-2014, we have steadily grown our footprint to meet market demands,” said Adrian Beach, managing director of Penske Truck Leasing.
“Strategically positioned near the Princes Freeway, we chose Pakenham to serve our east-side customers who have been driving across town through tunnels and over bridges to pick up a truck or drop one off for service,” he said.
“Our new location is a huge convenience for them, and it also opens the door to fleets who couldn’t justify making that journey across town to Altona.
“Pakenham also has a built-in support network, with most of our existing vendors and partners nearby and open for trading, as well as the fact that we’re minutes away from key dealerships, parts and tyre suppliers, and even smash repair shops,” Beach added.
he Penske Truck Leasing fleet offers a varied range of medium- and heavy-duty prime movers as well as rigids, including MAN, Hino, and Western Star trucks.
