Leading transport equipment rental company Rentco, has announced the appointment of Mark Kirkpatrick as its new CEO , which became effective  on the 1st of  September.

The company said in ts statement that Kirkpatrick brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience across international freight, asset leasing, and heavy maintenance.

Kirkpatrick was most recently, CEO of Rail First Asset Management, where he is said to have transformed Australia’s largest independent rail leasing business,  while driving service improvements, sustained growth, and operational excellence.

“Mark’s appointment signals an exciting new chapter for Rentco,” said Rentco chairman Bob Fast.

“With his proven leadership and industry insight, Rentco is well-positioned to expand our offerings and deliver innovative transport solutions, while staying true to the values of reliability, service, and trusted relationships that have shaped our business from the beginning,” Fast said.

The founder and outgoing CEO  of Rentco, Bob Shier will remain with the organisation as executive director, continuing to support the leadership team and  the board.

The company went on to say that Bob Shier’s vision and commitment have been central to Rentco’s growth,  while his ongoing involvement ensures stability during this next phase.

Mark Kirkpatrick said he was honoured to join Rentco at such a pivotal moment. Bob and his team have built an exceptional business with a strong reputation for customer service and operational integrity.

“I look forward to working with the team to build on that legacy and lead the next chapter of growth,” Kirkpatrick added.

Rentco  has been in business since April 1994 when it was established at Kewdale, on Perth’s eastern industrial fringe, initially supplying trailers to the agricultural industry, before demand grew fleet numbers as well as a wider variety of rental products.

The company says the  demand drove its expansion not only within the Perth area, but throughout Western Australia and then  East into Queensland establishing branches in Brisbane and Townsville, within a short  time,  as the business  catere for the needs of our ever growing customer base. Over the last six years, the Rentco business has further entrenched itself as a truly national company with locations now well established in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin
