Volvo Group Australia has announced the highly anticipated replacement of the well-liked Julie Skerman, giving Teresia Fors the nod for the role of vice president of marketing and communications.
It is expected Fors will bring a sea-fresh approach to Volvo’s marketing and communications, with extensive experience in the maritime sector and cruise industry.
For the past eight years, Fors was the managing director at Viking Cruises, establishing its Australian operation, as well as serving as a councillor of the Australian National Maritime Museum and director of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
Originally from Stockholm, Fors came to Australia in 2003 where she worked at MyPlanet in editorial, sales and marketing roles prior to moving into the cruise industry.
Skerman departed Volvo to become a joint managing director of her family’s civil construction and property development company.
