Crafter Runner, now available with the convenience of an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Volkswagen has done a Runner, revealing  some keen pricing and a special finance package on its Crafter ‘Runner’ large van model until the 30th April.

Volkswagen says that  despite the current unprecedented market conditions, Australian many business owners just can’t stop and added that it is why it’s Commercial Vehicles division is offering the new generation Crafter van in what it is calling the  ‘Runner’, available with either an 8-speed automatic transmission  or 6 -speed manual, with the bonus of sharp driveaway pricing until the end of April and 1.99 per cent per annum fixed finance rate through Volkswagen Financial Services, until the end of June.

VW says that while the Crafter Runner has remained a popular staple with business owners in both the current generation and previous iterations, it has previously been offered only as a manual variant.

Now, in strictly limited numbers Volkswagen has 79 Crafter Runner autos available,  as part of the special offer.

The company says that in every essence, the Runner model has always stood as a ‘blank canvas’ for savvy buyers. It emphasises that it is by-no-means a ‘base model’ in specification, and offers a high level of standard equipment with an eye firmly on value and durability.

It comes with rubber floors and cloth interior trim, and is available in any exterior colour, so long as it is Candy White.

Crafter Runner buyers will be able to integrate their new vehicle into an existing fleet, or roll-over the custom fit-out from their previous vehicle.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles director, Ryan Davies, explained the significance of the Crafter Runner model range for Aussie businesses.

“Australian businesses have had to make some tough decisions in recent months, but for many, they can’t afford to stop moving. We depend on these businesses to continue to deliver, just as they depend on their vehicles to get the job done,” Davies explained.

“The Crafter Runner has always been about value for money, and we’re pleased to be offering our most affordable model in the range with the option of an automatic transmission and, until the end of the month, extremely sharp pricing and finance offers,” he said.

The Crafter Runner range is available now from Volkswagen’s national dealer network as well on online.
