VOLVO BUS CHIEF LAUREN DOWNS TO TAKE OVER AS UD TRUCKS BOSS

Changes in management at Volvo Group Australia continue with the announcement that Volvo Bus general manager, Lauren Downs, will take over as vice president of UD Trucks Sales on 1st May, following the retirement of Mark Strambi.

Downs has been the GM at Volvo Bus Australia for the  past two years  and that role will be assumed by Volvo Buses Asia Pacific vice president, David Mead, who will take on the role of acting general manager of Volvo Bus Australia from 1stMay until a successor is appointed

Mead, who previously ran Volvo Bus Australia until his elevation to VP of Volvo Buses Asia Pacific, is well known in the Australian bus industry.

The recruitment process to fill Downs position  will commence immediately.
