VOLVO BUS ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS

Volvo Bus has announced some new key appointments to its Australian team with Stuart Woodward being appointed as regional sales manager for NSW and Kate Hunt announced as the company’s new sales and marketing coordinator.

In announcing the new appointments, Volvo Bus Australia boss Lauren Downes said  they would ‘strengthen Volvo’s specialised bus team across Australia’.

Stuart Woodward’s appointment comes following 14 years with Volvo and will see him move from Perth to take up the new role in Sydney. Woodward started out with Volvo in 2005 as an apprentice heavy diesel technician before moving into a variety of roles with the company including as Contract and Technical Support manager for Volvo’s contracts with the Public Transport Authority of WA and Western Australia customers the past seven years.

In his new role in Sydney he will work alongside Ray Andrich working with NSW bus and coach operators.

“I am extremely excited to welcome Stuart back to the East Coast, where I know our customers will benefit greatly from his extensive bus and coach knowledge, technical and commercial experience, and genuine love and passion for the industry,” said Lauren Downs.

Volvo has announced Lee Williams will replace Stuart Woodward in the Contract and Technical Support manager role in WA.

Wiliams was formerly a Volvo field service engineer supporting Volvo’s local WA dealer and WA customers.

Williams is well equipped for the role, and has extensive technical expertise having previously also worked with Volvo in the UK, the company states.

“Not only will Lee bring extensive knowledge and product expertise to the Contract and Technical Support manager role, Lee will also be further supported in Perth by two field service engineers, who will provide specialised service and support for the operators there. Again we are extremely proud to say these resources are dedicated solely to bus,” Downs said.

Volvo also announced that Kate Hunt has been appointed sales and marketing coordinator for Volvo Bus bringing experience in event, marketing and sales following a career in Australia, Malaysia and London including most recently as  head of production at an automotive marketing agency, servicing automotive clients including Volvo Cars, Jaguar Land Rover, Renault, and McLaren at the Singapore F1.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Kate to the Volvo Bus team, where we know both our internal sales team and customers will benefit greatly from her outstanding organisation skills, positive and upbeat attitude, and – most importantly – passion and commitment to ensuring a premium customer experience and customer satisfaction,”Downs said.
