VOLVO DEALERS OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

Volvo Group has announced dealers of the  for 2019 wth Truck  Centre Western Australia (TCWA)Kewdale (Perth) honoured as the Australia Metropolitan Dealer of the Year, with  industry icon  MaxWinkless  on hand to receive the award.

Mackay based Crokers Truck Centre scooped  both Regional Dealer of the Year and the highly coveted  accolade  of National  Customer  Satisfaction Leader, capping  off a big 2019 for the Crokers team.

2019 gave Volvo Group Australia (VGA) plenty of reasons to celebrate, with dealers coming together atan awards gala in late January as part of VGA’s annual Dealer Conference in Brisbane. Volvo GroupAustralia President and CEO Martin Merrick and Volvo Trucks International Senior Vice President Per-Erik Lindström were present to personally congratulate each winner.

“It’s a great honour to receive the award for Metropolitan Dealer of the Year,” said Dealer Principal TCWA Phil Winkless.

“We are proud to be part of the VGA Dealer Network and the award is recognition for a year’s worth ofhard work and customer commitment from our whole team. It will be tough but we will definitely be tryingto go back to back in 2020.”

Metropolitan and regional dealers are awarded on criteria that measures overall success as a result of sales, customer satisfaction, and aftermarket service.

Included in the awards presented was the Volvo Group Australia Services Incentive Program, rewardingdealerships on a points based system for their dedication to customers following the truck sale. TCWAKewdale were once again celebrated as they topped the points for metropolitan dealers, whileCrokers completed a hat-trick for the night as they shared regional and rural honours with WebsterTrucks Devenport.

Strong efforts throughout the year from Crokers and Webster Trucks continued Volvo Group Australia’scommitment to customers in regional and rural areas. Full results are posted in the Appendix below.

VGA Vice President Services and Retail Development Tom Conlon was also present to hand each winner their award, knowing all too well the effort each dealership put in to attain their prizes.

“2019 was another record year for Volvo Group Australia, and we recognise the hard work done by each dealer”, said Tom.

“Intrinsic to Volvo Group Australia’s success is our dealer network so it is fantastic that we dedicate anight to celebrating and recognising their achievements. All have achieved great results and the competition was intense, but the winners deserve a special mention and I would like to congratulate TCWA Kewdale and Crokers on a great 2019. I am looking forward to their success rolling on into 2020.”

Volvo Financial Services also presented a number of awards on the night to highlight individual anddealership achievements. VFS Managing Director David McGuire presented Brett McAlister with theRegional Finance Manager of the Year award for his work with VGA affiliated dealerships in New South Wales, before VCV Sydney was awarded VFS Dealer of the Year.

The VGA Dealer Awards Gala was a time to reflect on and celebrate a 2019 that delivered a number of impressive results across the country. The hard work does not end there, however, as the directive has been set for 2020 with moreimpressive performances to come throughout the year
