As the annual roundabout of awards dinners continues apace around the country, the latest truck brand to celebrate its dealer force is Hino, which recognised its highest performing dealers, at its recent Dealer of the Year Awards in Sydney.
CMI Hino Adelaide took out the prestigious Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award for the sixth time, while Newcastle Hino claimed the Regional Dealer of the Year title for the fifth time.
“Each year, the Dealer of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge the collective efforts of our dealer network, particularly those that have delivered outstanding results whether it be in sales, parts, service or customer satisfaction,” said president and CEO of Hino Australia, Richard Emery.
“Hino Australia’s nationwide network of over 60 dealerships delivers a customer-first approach to sales and aftersales, supporting both new and existing customers,” said Emery.
“CMI Hino Adelaide has again demonstrated a consistently high level of performance, and this recognition reflects the team’s focus on quality, professionalism and customer satisfaction.
“Newcastle Hino’s Regional Dealer of the Year award highlights the strength of its operations, especially in the sales area, and the dedication of its team to delivering strong outcomes for their customers,” he said.
Nathan Chatfield, general manager of CMI Hino Adelaide paid tribute to the strength and collaborative nature of the Hino dealer network when accepting the award on behalf of his dealership.
“Additionally, this award, and the others we have received tonight, are testament to the strength of our CMI Adelaide Hino team – 2025 was one of the most difficult years we have faced, and we have shown how much we can achieve working together.
“I’m exceptionally proud of all of the CMI Hino Adelaide team,” he said.
In addition to the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year title, CMI Hino Adelaide delivered a clean sweep of the Sales Excellence (Metro), Parts Excellence (Metro) and Service Excellence (Metro) awards, and was a recipient of the prestigious President’s Award for the fifth consecutive year.
Sean Lynch, dealer principal for Newcastle Hino thanked the Hino dealer network and his team.
“We’re part of an outstanding dealer network here in Australia – over the past few years, we’ve supported one another, shared ideas, and pushed each other to be better and this collaboration makes awards like this even more meaningful,” said Lynch.
“To my team back at Newcastle Hino, this belongs to you because you don’t win Dealer of the Year without an exceptional team, and I am incredibly fortunate to lead one,” he said.
“You work hard, you work together, and you show up every day with professionalism and pride. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved.”
Newcastle Hino further reinforced its strong performance with the Sales Excellence regional award and as a recipient of the President’s Award.
Other recipients of the President’s Award for 2025 were Sci-Fleet Hino Gold Coast , Jacob Hino Wodonga, Prestige Hino Melbourne, and, also for an impressive fifth time, Sci-Fleet Hino Brisbane.
The Customer Experience Awards were presented to CMI Hino Melbourne for Metropolitan and Canberra Hino for Regional, recognising their commitment to delivering consistently high levels of customer service.
Christian Geadah from City Hino in Sydneywas named Salesperson of the Year, acknowledging his outstanding individual performance.
The Service Excellence Regional – Gold award was claimed by Southside Hino, Coffs Harbour, while northeast Hino Sunshine Coast)won the Parts Excellence Regional award.
The Hino Financial Services Excellence Award was awarded to Prestige Hino in Melbourne .
Hino said its Dealer of the Year Awards were held on Saturday 28th February and celebrated the dedication, professionalism and high standards demonstrated across the dealer network nationwide.
