True parts specialist retailer TRP has announced it has introduced new portable, heavy-duty Spill Kits to its range of products available across its network of outlets across the country.
TRP says the Spill Kits are designed to provide truck drivers with essential emergency spill response preparedness.
the company says that they are available through the more than 70 Paccar Parts dealers across Australia and New Zealand, and adds that the kits offer peace of mind by enabling quick and effective cleanup of liquid spills on the road or in workshops.
TRP says that the product range includes a general purpose Spill Kit for common spills such as petrol, oils, and coolants, or a hazardous chemical Spill Kit, which it says is compliant with Australian Dangerous Goods
(ADG) regulations,
The hazardous chemical kit is suitable for handling all classes of dangerous liquids including battery fluid and industrial chemicals such as mercury.
Paccar Parts product manager, Theresa Weymouth, highlighted the importance of the kits in meeting safety and legal requirements, helping operators avoid penalties and reputational damage.
“TRP Spill Kits are like a first aid kit for spill and are essential for safety and preparedness,” said Weymouth.
The company says that the kits feature premium biodegradable absorbents, which are up to six times more effective than kitty litter, plus absorbent mats, booms, gloves, and disposal bags, all housed in sturdy, weather-resistant bags.
