A SWEET BELGIAN TREAT FROM VAN HOOL AT BUS SHOW

BELGIAN  bus and coach giant Van Hool has made an opening play into the Australian market with one of its three axle coaches on display at the Australasia Bus and Coach Expo on the Gold Coast.

Powered by a Euro 6 compliant MX DAF engine from Paccar, the 58 seat VanHool EX16H coach broke cover at the Gold Coast Bus and Coach Expo.

VanHool’s sales agent is Patico which formerly handled Optare and Irizar in Australia

The 462hp EX16H will be put to work on charter runs providing high comfort levels in its 13.3 metre long body complete with rear toilet and wheel chair facility.

The EX is a full integral coach which is developed in house at the VanHool parent company in Belgium and manufactured at a state of the art production facility in Skopje Macedonia.

The vehicle is built to the highest European quality and safety standards and is a simple, straightforward design that represents the core ideals of VanHool _ reliable, functional and efficient.

Van Hool is an independent manufacturer of buses, touring coaches and industrial vehicles. The company, founded in 1947, is based in Koningshooikt, Belgium. The majority of its production is destined for Europe and the USA. Van Hool has more than 4,500 employees worldwide, the majority of whom work at the production sites in Koningshooikt and Bree (Belgium) and in Skopje (Macedonia).
