EAGER TO PLEASE – AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP GIAN SIGNS ON WITH FOTON MOBILITY

Australia’s largest  automotive dealer group, Eagers Automotive, has announced it has signed on with rising commercial vehicle EV distributor, Foton Mobility, and will open three new sales and service locations across the nation for the all electric truck and van organisation.

Eagers said that  the sites will be known as Foton EV Brisbane, Foton EV Perth and Foton EV Sydney, with each site  set to offer  customer support for Foton EV truck customers, which it says will  enable them to transition fleets with full confidence.

Eagers Automotive said  the opportunity to represent Australia’s most popular all-electric truck, the Foton T5 EV, to its expansive customer base, will further assist Australian fleets in converting to a sustainable future.

“Eagers Automotive is incredibly proud to join the growing Foton EV dealership network,” said Paul Warburton, executive general manager at Eagers Automotive Limited.

“We look forward to supporting Foton in the Australian market as they look to follow in the footsteps of their success around the world.”

Foton Mobility Distribution, the wholly Australian-owned local Distributor of Foton Global zero-emission products,  said that expanding its dealer network with Eagers Automotive is a true vote of confidence in the brand.

“It’s with great pride that we welcome the Eagers Automotive team to the Foton family,” said Bill Gillespie, Foton Mobility Distribution’s general manager of light duty vehicles.

“Around the world, Foton’s new energy products continue to lead the sales race, with our entry to the Australian market last year seeing the products widely embraced by a cross-section of leading fleets nationwide.

“From leaders in last mile home deliveries to council fleets, removalists and beyond, the T5 EV continues to gain traction in the marketplace.

“With Eagers Automotive representing us in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, we are now able to better service our customer base, who can access the vehicles through familiar staff at trusted dealerships,”  Gillespie said.

Foton’s T5 EVA is at the centre of the current Foton all-electric offering , and is available rated to a GVM of 4,500kg for car licence operation, or 6,000kg for light rigid licenced drivers, with a 3,500kg braked towing capacity, which it claims is a unique offering for  an EV,  adding that it allows the package to seamlessly integrate into existing fleets.

The T5 EV  has a fully loaded range of 180km,  and also offers  a full safety suite, including a Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning System, a comprehensive electronic braking and stability support package, dual SRS airbags, as well as a reversing radar and buzzer.

Foton  says its T5 EV is available in a range of ready-to-go trims, with options including an Australian-made steel tipper body, an alloy tray and more, covering a wide range of Australian-specific application types.

The Foton T5 EV all-electric trucks come with an eight-year/300,000km power battery warranty and a five-year/200,000km overall vehicle warranty and all Foton EV vehicles are supported by NTI Truck Assist 24/7 roadside support service.
