ISUZU OFFERS SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION FREIGHT PACK TO KICK START 2021

Isuzu has announced additions to its broad Freightpack range to support the growing pressure in the freight and distribution space,  which it says will give operators the option of a ‘premium, pre-built transport solution, specified directly for the application’.

Isuzu has added a limited-release, 10-pallet model to the Freightpack line-up to kick off the new year callig the new variant the Ready to Work Freightpack Urban.

The Freightpack Urban package will have a starting price of $99,990 drive away, and will be exclusively available between 1 January – 31 March 2021,  with a package that Isuzu says ‘is unbeatable for businesses looking for a keenly priced, no-fuss truck specified to tackle Australia’s growing urban freight task’.

The Freightpack Urban is built on the FRR 107-210 long wheelbase chassis, with a 10,700 kg GVM coupled with Isuzu’s six-speed AMT which Isuzu says will assure confidence in either navigating tight laneways or cruising highways.

Isuzu says the Urban is all about ease of operation and adds that it has been carefully curated with the best of Isuzu’s Freightpack features, boasting a 10-pallet footprint, easy-glide curtains, lightning quick-release catches and docking rubbers which it adds will save precious minutes in loading and unloading cargo.

Isuzu says that pallet-width, load-restraining and interlocking side gates are speedily removed into and out of position for forklifts to access a tidy interior, while load restraint ratchets for each pallet are conveniently placed on the passenger-side rope rail, to further secure loads.

The truck is powered by Isuzu’s 4HK1 diesel engine with 210PSof power and 726Nm of torque thanks to a two-stage turbo charging system.

The Freightpack Urban’s cornering lamps and large electric mirrors ensure high visibility for inner-city driving, while an ECE-R29 crash rated cab and dual air bags are standard safety inclusions.

Making for a more enjoyable and safe experience all round, other standard features on the Freightpack Urban include Electronic Stability Control, (ABS) and Hill Start Aid, yellow safety grab handles, reversing camera, truck specific satellite navigation, a 6.2-inch touchscreen multimedia AV unit with DAB+, a fully adjustable ISRI 6860/875 air suspension driver’s seat ad a three-year bumper to bumper warranty for truck and body.

Isuzu Australia Limited national sales manager, Les Spaltman, said the Freightpack Urban campaign was aimed at helping businesses get a leg ahead in the new year.

“In consultation with industry and with the popularity of our medium-duty Freightpack range pointing the way, we knew there was demand at the lighter end of the freight and logistics market,” he said.

“In the current last-mile delivery boom, operators need a truck that doesn’t skip on payload capacity or useful features—at an affordable price.

“And we’re delighted to introduce the Freightpack Urban campaign in this space, giving businesses a jump ahead on the competition this year.

“For those wanting to miss the line at the body builders, we’ve built the Ready-to-Work Freightpack Urban as an excellent starting point that will save time and money, not just with an extremely competitive sale price, but over the course of ownership, too.”
