Volvo Group Australia has announced the permanent appointment of its UD Trucks and Government sales and marketing vice president with Cameron Bettany being confirmed in the positions effective on the 1st July, after handling the tasks in an acting role until now
The group said that the appointment brings together the responsibility for UD as well as for Government sales under a unified leadership structure, and reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening the UD Trucks brand.
It said that it also deepens government engagement, builds strategic partnerships, and delivers sustainable long-term growth.
The Group said that Bettany has been successfully leading the sales and marketing for UD Trucks in an acting capacity, alongside his duties in the government sales area, providing stability, continuity, and strong commercial leadership across both functions.
It said Bettany’s appointment to the position as a permanent posting reflects the ‘significant contribution he has made in supporting customers, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and advancing key strategic initiatives’.
The company said that in his expanded leadership position, Bettany will continue to drive the growth and development of the UD Trucks brand, while further strengthening partnerships across government and emergency services sectors.
It added that his focus will remain on delivering ‘customer-centric’ solutions, enhancing market presence, and identifying new opportunities for sustainable business growth.
Bettany said that it was a privilege to take on this role and continue working alongside our customers, dealer partners, government stakeholders, and employees.
“UD Trucks has a proud heritage and a strong future, and I look forward to building on the momentum already established across both portfolios. Together, we will continue to strengthen our customer relationships, expand strategic partnerships, and deliver solutions that create long-term value for our customers and communities,” said Bethany.
Volvo Group said Bettany’s appointment reflects its ongoing investment in leadership capability and organisational stability, ensuring the business remains well positioned to support customers, grow market share, and strengthen the UD Trucks brand across Australia.
