Trailer manufacturer, Freighter  has announced two key appointments to its senior leadership team, following the recent appointment of Michael Temminghoff as  its chief executive officer.

The company said that the appointments were designed to elevate customer experience, drive operational efficiency, and back the company’s national growth strategy.

The company has announced that Rick Halliwell has  joined the business as its new national sales manager, with a wealth of transport industry experience.

At the same time the company announced that , Brad Lane  will transitionfrom his role as SA dealer manager to  the newly created position of general manager of sales excellence  and marketing.

Freighter Group said that both appointments reflect  its ongoing commitment to building a customer first culture, delivering high-quality transport solutions across Australia during a period of significant growth and transformation.

Lane will focus in his new role on aligning the customer experience and sales processes across Freighter Group’s national footprint.

The company says that Lane is well placed to connect product innovation with practical customer delivery, bringing more than 18 years of experience across the transport, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.

“My vision is to help continue positioning Freighter Group as Australia’s leading transport solutions provider by strengthening the connection between our customers, products and people,” said Lane.

“My focus is on building a customer-first culture, driving innovation and enhancing collaboration across the business, ensuring we continue to deliver quality products and exceptional service as we grow.”

Lane added that the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the business’s long Australian manufacturing history is a deeply rewarding challenge.

“Working alongside our customers, dealers and internal teams to develop smarter solutions, improve the customer experience and strengthen our national business is something I’m incredibly passionate about,” he added

The company said that as national sales manager Rick Halliwell will lead the national sales team with a core focus on building lasting relationships and ensuring Australian transport operators receive unparalleled service.

Halliwell joins Freighter Group following a seven-year tenure as national sales manager at TR Group, where he developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of transport fleets.

Halliwell added that Freighter Group’s Australian manufacturing capabilities and reputation for reliability were key factors in his decision to join the company.

“Freighter Group’s reputation for quality and its long history in the Australian transport industry really stood out to me,” said Halliwell.

“I was also impressed by the people in the business and their passion for what they do. It felt like a company with strong values, a great team, and an exciting future, and I wanted to be part of that next chapter,” he said.

Looking ahead Halliwell’s priority remains firmly on customer success and sustainable growth.
