PENSKE APPOINTMENTS ACROSS THE “DUTCH”

Penske New Zealand has announced it has  strengthened its footprint across the ditch, with the company adding three new truck parts and service dealers to its network in regional centres of Whangarei, Gisborne, and Blenheim.

Total Parts and Service (TPS) in Gisborne, Whangarei Diesels, and On Site Mechanical Repairs in Blenheim will service Pemske’s MAN Truck and Bus, Western Star Trucks, and Detroit brands.

TPS managing director David Scammell, who founded TPS more than 15 years ago, said he is delighted to have Penske’s backing.

“The team at TPS and I are thrilled to add the power of Penske to our service offering to customers in the Gisborne region,” he said.

“By adding the MAN, Western Star, and Detroit brands, our increased offering to customers is a win for them and us.”

Joel Cleaver, dealer principal at Whangarei Diesels, also founded his business almost 15 years ago.

“It was always my childhood dream to be a diesel mechanic and open my own business. I’ve always loved the sound of a Detroit engine,” he said.

“Through the good times and the challenges, I have always focused on customer support and being there for those who rely on me to keep their business moving.”

Formed almost a decade ago, On Site Mechanical Repairs specialises in heavy equipment repair services in the Marlborough region and beyond.

Director of On Site Mechanical Repairs, Ben McMaster,  said that with more than forty years of combined experience, its team operates with a mantra to do it once and do it right.

“We’re very proud to partner with Penske and provide our current and future customers with premium products that complement our current offering,” said McMaster.

Kevin Smith, general manager of Penske New Zealand, added that customers would benefit greatly from the added network support.

“With these new partnerships, customers across New Zealand can be confident that wherever their travels take them, they will have the support they need to keep them going,” Smith said.

“With expanded network coverage, our dedicated Penske dealer support team, unmatched warranty offering, and low-cost repair and maintenance packages, there has never been a better time to buy an MAN or Western Star.”

Penske New Zealand said its dealer network had also been further bolstered by two key appointments, including new national aftersales support manager Andrew Hodgkinson, and dealer support manager, Warren Smith.

As national aftersales support manager, Hodgkinson leads technical support, repair and maintenance contracts, training, dealer support, and sales support teams, while dealer support manager, sees Smith working alongside the dealer network to deliver bespoke commercial vehicle solutions to customers that make a difference.
