VOLVO BUS ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS

Volvo Bus has announced it has appointed Sarah Forbes to  the role of director – strategic partnerships and projects  based in Perth.

Sarah joined Volvo last week having held senior management and executive roles in a number of suppliers to the bus and coach industry in Australia. Most recently she held the position of director of corporate services at Bustech Group.

Volvo said that  Sarah is a qualified commercial lawyer and  public transport professional who has a keen interest in buses and working towards safe and reliable transport solutions for the Australian public.

“Sarah also holds a degree in Asian Studies and a diploma in Leadership and Management and her experience and knowledge of the Australian market coupled with her global and regional understanding makes her a perfect fit for the role,” said David Mead, vice president, Volvo Bus Asia Pacific Region.

“As our business evolves, we need people who can adapt quickly, find creative solutions to our business challenges and create meaningful and strategic partnerships to allow our business to grow and flourish,” he said.

Volvo said Sarah Forbes will be working across a wide range of areas in the Asia Pacific business including Volvo’s continued delivery of electric products and projects and will support the Australian team and work on strategic projects and initiatives as required. Sarah will be part of the Asia Pacific management team within Volvo Buses and will be based in Perth, Australia – central to the markets in the Asia Pacific organisation and close to Volvo Bus Australia’s key customers in Western Australia.
