Hino has revealed its top dealers for 2021, making the announcements during a virtual ceremony, as well as announcing the inaugural winners of its President’s Award.

While the Japanese brand normally hands out the gongs to dealers each year at a Gala dinner , this year  the cereomy was held on line.

CMI Hino Adelaide, Jacob Hino (Albury-Wodonga), Sci-Fleet Hino Brisbane, Sci-Fleet Hino Gold Coast, CMI Hino Melbourne and Newcastle Hino became the first recipients of the President’s Award.

“Since I started with Hino Australia, it has been my vision to bring this high-profile Hino award to Australia and I congratulate the recipients for their exceptional efforts in all aspects of Sales, Parts and Service,” said Sam Suda, president and CEO of Hino Australia.

In other major awards CMI Hino Adelaide won the Dealer of the Year metropolitan and Jacob Hino  took out the regional Dealer of the Year title.

Paul Crawford, Dealer Principal of CMI Hino Adelaide accepted the metropolitan award for the third time and said it was hard to describe the excitement and pride they felt at being announced the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year for 2021.

“I want to thank all our employees and their partners for their role in our success – it really was a wonderful team effort from the CMI-Hino Adelaide team led by Nathan Chatfield during a challenging year,” said Crawford.

“The award feels even more special knowing the professionalism and quality of the other Hino dealerships around Australia,” he added.

Jacob Hino’s Dealer Principal Neville Jacob was delighted to receive the Dealer of the Year title for the first time in the dealership’s proud 22 year history with Hino Australia.

“Our strength at Jacob Hino is our tight-knit team, and this is a tribute to their hard work over the last 12 months, and many years before it – to receive this title in our 91st year is truly an honour,” said Jacob.

“Like many others, 2021 was a challenging year for Jacob Hino, especially being on the border of NSW and Victoria – we are truly appreciative of the support shown to us by the Albury-Wodonga community and businesses,” he concluded.
