BUENA VISTA – MELBOUNRE BASED VOLVO SERVICE TEAM WIN THROUGH TO WORLD FINAL

 Volvo Trucks has  announced  that a team from Volvo Commercial Vehicles at Prestons in Sydney’s west  has won the prestigious Australian final of its annual VISTA competition.

According to Volvo its VISTA competition is s one of the largest service market competitions in the world with more than 14,000 technicians competing globally and 488 competing here  in Australia and across the Ditch in New Zealand.

The result of the Australian finals saw the VCV Prestons team emerging as the Champions in the contest.

The VCV Prestons team of four, included Mohammed Firoz Jalil, Aryan Chand, Dennis Kurian and Rachel Cuddihy, who took on teams of technicians from other Volvo Truck dealerships from across the country and from the Land of the Long White Cloud.

The winning team have now qualified for the global VISTA final to be staged at Volvo HQ in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

According to the truck maker, the VISTA competition pits technicians and dealer staff against a range of theoretical and technical problems within the dealership environment requiring exceptional problem-solving skills, product knowledge and teamwork.

Volvo Group Australia’s vice president of service, market and retail, Martin Jerresand said that it is always a pleasure to see its technicians come together for the competition.

“The skill of our technicians drives our customers’ success. because a stationary truck doesn’t earn any money,” Jerresand said.

“I congratulate Team Champions and wish them the best of luck competing on the world stage in Sweden,” he said.

Volvo claims that VISTA is one of the largest service market competitions in the world with more than 14,000 technicians competing globally as well as 488 competing in Australia and New Zealand.

The world final will take place in Gothenburg between 7th and 11th of September.
