The facility also boasts two 75 inch screens, allowing sports enthusiasts to watch other sporting codes, while still being a part of the trackside action. It also has its own 7KVA generator with a 200 litre fuel tank, which will allow the Sports Deck to run without external power, which is significant for longer events such as the Repco Bathurst 1000 on in October. The  Sports Deck fit-out was again undertaken by Ellis Management.

“Visitors to the Sports Deck will have the chance to win money can’t buy experiences on track such as safety car rides and grid walks, along with Hino merchandise giveaways,” said Emery.

The Hino 700 Series SH1845 it will be hauled by features a E13C-BL engine with peak power of 450hp and 2157Nm of torque, matched to a  ZF TraXon TX 2441TO 16-speed Automated Manual Transmission .

The Hino 700 Series boasts an enhanced Hino SmartSafe package featuring Driver Monitor and meets Euro 6 exhaust emissions while Hino-Connect telematics technology is standard.

“The SH1845 is safer, cleaner and connected, and has been well-received by our customers since launch in August 2021.

“Customers also have the opportunity to interact with a static display of our range of award-winning trucks trackside,” said Richard Emery.

Hino is encouraging race fans  to visit the Sports Deck during selected rounds of the Repco Supercars Championship including the Sandown SuperSprint (19-21 August), the Repco Bathurst 1000 (6-9 October) and the Gold Coast 500 (28-30 October).
