Mack Trucks has declared that a fleet of 10 trucks spanning various new models will barnstorm Mack dealerships around the country in August, in a bid to give customers and dealers intimate insight into their latest offerings.
Dubbed the “Mack Trucks Heartland Tour”, the showcase begins on Tuesday, August 4, from Volvo Commercial Vehicles in Brisbane and will stop off at 15 Mack dealerships in the capital cities of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia with Townsville, Tamworth, Albury, Mildura and Wagga Wagga also playing host.
The Heartland Tour will also spruik Mack’s “Win a Mack Truck for a Year” promotion, where one lucky punter will receive a new Mack for 12 months, tailored to the application of their choice as well as featuring telematics, servicing and driver deployment support.
Dean Bestwick, Vice President of Sales for Mack Trucks insists the promotion is aimed to reinforce the company’s product and comprehensive support, while the Heartland Tour itself is all about face-to-face, shoulder-to-shoulder contact with customers, regardless of whether they are based in a regional or metropolitan centre.
“For us it’s about getting into the country dealerships, into the customer service centres that are in strategic locations and into the smaller operations that we don’t get to all the time. It’s about pressing the flesh with the Mack team, the drivers, and giving them the opportunity to drive those trucks.”
