PEUGEOT ELECTRIC VAN GETS UPGRADE

peugeot e-boxer

Van buyers in Europe now have an updated version of the Peugeot e-Boxer van available to them.

Not available in Australia at the moment, the e-Boxer is a large plug-in electric van that is offered with a load capacity of up to 15 cubic metres.

It’s driven by a 118hp/350Nm electric motor that is powered by a choice of 37kWh or 75kWh battery capacities.

Now, that larger 75kWh battery in the Peugeot electric van has been upgraded to improve range.

Available across all e-Boxer variants, Peugeot tells us the new battery will add up to 24 kilometers to the electric range of the van.

This will allow drivers to travel up to 247 kilometers on a charge.

“As with all Peugeot electric vans, the e-Boxer makes no compromise in terms of volume or practicality compared with diesel versions, while offering all the advantages of the electric engine: lower running costs, ease of driving, immediate throttle response, high torque, the total absence of noise, vibrations, and emissions.” – Peugeot

The e-Boxer can be charged from 0-80% in 1 hour via a 50kW rapid charger.

We will keep you updated regarding the possible inclusion of the e-Boxer into the Peugeot Australia light commercial vehicle range in the future.

Our version, the Peugeot Boxer, comes with a 120kW/310Nm turbo-diesel engine mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission.
