Fuso has revealed that prominent and innovative national storage provider TaxiBox has purchased six of its new Shoguns for the storage specialist’s fleet.
TaxiBox Instead of the traditional model. of hiring a storage unit and then getting hold of a biog ute or truck to transport your gear to it, TaxiBox delivers storage containers to customers and then returns to take and store them at one of their multiple storage facilities located across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
The innovative company’s customer-friendly features including an app that helps them estimate what will be able to fit in the box before it arrives and allows them to track the TaxiBox delivery in real time makes it a much simpler equation.
TaxiBox says it chose the Fuso Shogun 360 model, powered by the 10.7-litre six-cylinder turbo diesel and mated to a 12-speed AMT for the job as result of being happy witht he Shoguns it already had on its fleet.
“We’ve been happy with the Shogun’s so far, the extra grunt makes the job easier for our drivers, particularly in the more complex and steep delivery network of Sydney and Melbourne’s inner city suburbs,“ says TaxiBox CEO, Ben Cohn.
Daimler Trucks said the TaxiBox Shoguns were delivered through Daimler Trucks Dandenong by salesperson Brett
Munro, and came standard with a full-suite of active safety features.
The company pointed out that TaxiBox benefitted from a free truck training service, like all customers who purchase Shoguns do, in which customers are taken through a full product training session by a Fuso representative, to point out all the benefits of the truck and how to get the most out of it.
Daimler also points out that Shogun models feature 50,000km service intervals and come with a five year or 500,000km warranty, whichever comes first.

Daimler tells us that in the sixteen years it has been around, TaxiBox has made close to 80,000 deliveries.
TaxiBox drops 2.4m x 2.2m containers to customers and they can be filled by the customer or with assistance before they are delivered to the nearest TaxiBox location for storage.
It allows customers to access their storage boxes whilst being stored and has recently expanded its service offering to include interstate moving, international moving a variety of new commercial storage solutions.
