ATA ANNOUNCES OPENING OF N0MINATIONS FOR CUMMINS YOUNG TECH AWARD

The ATA and Cummins South Pacific have  announced that they have opened nominations for their Cummins Young Tech Award as part of this year’s Technology and Maintenance Conference (TMC 25). Nominations opened on 21 July and will close on 24 August

Formerly known as the Cummins Scholarship  and sponsored by Cummins, the award was renamed to recognise and celebrate the next generation of talent in Australia’s heavy vehicle workshops.

ATA Chair Mark Parry said the ATA wants to thank Cummins for its continued support of this award.

“It is a valuable stepping stone for young service technicians to grow their industry skills and knowledge.” said Perry.

“The three award recipients will have the chance to attend targeted training sessions and practical workshops that align with their career goals, while also connecting with professionals across the truck technology, service, and maintenance sectors,” he said.

The award is open to apprentices or qualified heavy vehicle service technicians aged  from 18 to 25,  and offers three prize packages including full registration to the 2025 Technology and Maintenance Conference providing with access to all sessions, workshops and social events including the Castrol Gala Awards Dinner,  return airfares and accommodation (if relevant), guided tours of two Cummins facilities in Melbourne and a Cummins merchandise pack.

Nominations for the 2025 Cummins Young Tech Award are now open with entries closing  at 11pm Eastern Standard Time on Sunday 24 August 2025. and can either be made by entrants who are self nominating or deserving members of your team.

The winners will be announced in the ATA’s weekly newsletter on 26 September.
