Hino Targets Strategic Advantage in Coffs Harbour

Hino Australia has opened up a new dealership and maintenance workshop in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, after identifying the burgeoning coastal township as an important strategic centre.

Lying approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, the new Coffs Harbour centre will function as a branch of Newcastle Commercial Vehicles and will aim to provide sales and serving on the all-important long-haul network. The centre will be open six days a week, with portions of the service department open until 11pm on weekdays.

Paul Tomlin, AHG Newcastle Group general manager, proclaimed the new dealership is a major step forward, providing peace of mind for drivers and operators who run Hino’s between Brisbane and Sydney.

Tomlin went to tout the city’s growing economic clout as a major reason to enter the market at this point in time.

“Coffs Harbour is a key location and an area of impressive growth, with the local population forecast to increase about 30 per cent over the next 15 years.”

“We’re delighted to have been appointed to represent Hino in the Coffs Harbour region, and we look forward to raining the profile and market penetration of Hino in this important location.”

Newcastle Commercial Vehicles is expecting strong sales, with a raft of Hino models now in stock, coupled with demonstration vehicles and test drives on the horizon.
