SLADE JOINS ALLIANCE FOR TOWNSVILLE V8 ROUND

Freightliner Racing’s Tim Slade will contest the Townsville V8 round with a one-off Alliance Truck Parts livery.

Alliance Truck Parts is the primary sponsor of Brad Jones Racing’s lead development series car piloted by Andrew Jones, and will make its first appearance in the main game on Slade’s #14 Commodore this weekend.

BJR and paint partner PPG have opted for a unique black design, almost an inversion on the yellow design usually sported by Jones.

“Andrew’s car is a real eye catcher with its bright yellow, but we’ve gone with almost the complete opposite for this weekend. I think it looks really tough and will definitely stand out in its own right,” Slade said.

“It’s been a successful couple of rounds for me and really awesome to get Freightliner Racing up on the podium. The Freightliner Racing team had a podium finish at Townsville last year so it would be great to continue our momentum. I always look forward to Townsville and the track is a challenge.”

“Freightliner and Alliance Truck Parts work side by side and on my visits to their HQ they are always really excited to catch up with us and talk all things Supercars. They provide Andrew and I with incredible support, so I feel like this is a special treat for all the team there.”

Freightliner Australia director, Stephen Downes, says the company is pleased to switch the livery on Tim Slade’s Freightliner Racing Commodore.

“We have absolutely loved seeing the Freightliner brand on the podium at recent race meetings, but we are also keen to give our family brand, Alliance Truck Parts, its time in the spotlight. Tim’s car looks fantastic decked out in black and yellow and is set to draw plenty of attention on the track at Townsville.” Mr Downes says.

Until recently, Alliance Truck Parts has had a relatively low profile in Australia but has been highly regarded for many years in the United States, where customers have come to value its range of budget conscious new and remanufactured all-makes parts.

NASCAR spectators are also familiar with the brand thanks to the Alliance Truck Parts Ford driven by Brad Keslowski in selected Sprint Cup races.
