Daimler Truck Australia has announced that a major program it has backed aimed at giving women a unique opportunity to enter the transport industry or upskill in their chosen transport related field has revealed the latest recipients of the Transport Women Australia Limited (TWAL) Driving the Difference scholarships.
The announcement of the scholarships was celebrated at the organisation’s annual conference in Melbourne recently in a program that Daimler has helped with backing since 2019
“Daimler Truck is proud to work with TWAL to help enrich the transport and logistics sector and help more women make their way in this field,” said Daimler Truck Australia Pacific’s president and CEO, Daniel Whitehead.
“We’ve been thrilled to see the difference that past scholarship recipients are making in the industry and they are a great endorsement of the initiative,” he added.
The scholarship recipients were presented certificates by Daimler Truck Australia Pacific’s head of marketing and communications, Dr Stefanie Tralaggan at the TWAL Driving the Difference conference.
“It was an honour to present the certificates to the 2026 scholarship recipients and hear about their amazing work,” Dr Tralaggan said.
“Each one of them is achieving great things already and we are so pleased to be able to help them advance even further in the industry,” she concluded.
2026 TWAL Driving the Difference Scholarship recipients included Jen Vella, of TransCrane, Chloe Hunt from StarTrack, Brittany Grech from Divalls Bulk Haulage, Chelsea Moen from Australian Glass Group and Mandy Solar from Followmont Transport
