Electronics manufacturer Uniden has announced the launch of a new dual-dash cam  system called the iGO CAM 63R,aimed at drivers wanting ultra-clear front and rear recording without the premium price tag.

Uniden said that its new iGO CAM 63R expands its iGO lineup adding a smart dash cam solution, focused on visibility, convenience and everyday confidence behind the wheel, and  it follows the recent launch of the its iGO Play 10+ portable touchscreen, which the company says  brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to a wider range of vehicles,

The company says that the the new Uniden iGO CAM 63R has arrived with an introductory price of $159, and  combines a 4K front camera, a 2K rear camera,  a 3-inch LCD colour screen and an included 64GB Micro SD card, and offers a feature-packed option for drivers looking to upgrade their in-vehicle tech for less.

It said that its iGO CAM 63R  has been designed for everyday drivers wanting extra visibility and added peace of mind on the road, and that it captures high-resolution footage from both the front and rear of the vehicle.

It said that the 4K front camera is designed to deliver crisp detail, while the 2K rear camera adds another layer of coverage for incidents or activity behind the vehicle.

Uniden said that drivers can also review footage directly on the device via the 3-inch LCD colour screen, including the rear camera vision, which it says makes it easy to check recordings on the go.

The company says that the iGO CAM 63R is ready to use straight away and comes with a 64GB Micro SD card included in the box,

While it boasts an introductory price of $159 during May the iGO CAM 63R will normally be available with a recommended retail price of $299, meaning an intro saving of $140.

The head of Oceania marketing for Uniden, Brad Hales, said the launch reflects the company’s focus on accessible and practical in-vehicle technology that helps drivers stay better connected, informed and protected on the road.

“With the iGO Play 10+, we are enabling drivers to bring modern touchscreen connectivity into their vehicles, and with the iGO CAM 63R we’re continuing that momentum with a dash cam that delivers strong everyday functionality and value,” said Hales.

“Both products offer an easy way to upgrade vehicles with the latest technology benefits, while adding a layer of safety, too.”

Uniden said the launch of the iGO CAM 63R further expands its offering in the in-vehicle technology category, giving drivers more options across both connectivity and on-road recording.

The recently launched Uniden iGO Play 10+ is a 10.26-inch portable touchscreen designed to bring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to almost any vehicle.

The iGO Play 10+  offers upport for navigation apps including Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze, and built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for automatic connection, with voice command functionality,  nd the company says it marks another step in Uniden’s move to deliver smarter and more accessible in-vehicle tech for Australian drivers.
