Paccar’s parts supply retail chain TRP has announce it has opened a new story at Somerton, catering to the industrial business district around the northern Melbourne suburb that is heavy with truck operations and repair facilities.
Around 19 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD and a short drive from the Hume Freeway, the new TRP store will offer a full range of truck and trailer parts and is operated by Paccar’s own Kenworth DAF Melbourne dealership, which also operates the TRP Ballarat and TRP Geelong stores.
The company says the TRP product range of truck and trailer parts are exclusively sold throughoutthe Kenworth DAF dealer network.
Kenworth DAF Melbourne has been selling and servicing new and used Kenworth and DAF vehiclesfor more than 50 years in Melbourne and surrounding regions and is the only Paccar owneddealership in Australia.
Paccar says the TRP brand, is positioned as ‘an affordable all makes supplier of high-quality partsfor prime mover and rigid trucks and all types of heavy trailers’, and now has 216 outletsworldwide, including eight in Australia.
The company says its store stocks a high proportion of consumables for all major truck brands, ranging from filtration, lube and electrical products, to brakes, suspensions, steering, wheel endsand other parts and accessories.
TRP stores have a direct link into the Paccar Parts distribution centres at Bayswater in Melbourne’s East and also in Brisbane, giving quick access to the entire portfolio of more than 300,000 products.

The new store is staffed by a highly experienced team, supported by excellentavailability on a full range of quality parts for all makes of trucks,” said Kenworth DAF Melbourneparts manager, John Everett.
