CUMMINS LOSES OUT TO DETROIT

Penske Power Systems has announced a huge coup by revealing long time Cummins executive Sean McLean has been appointed as director of On-Highway focusing on the Detroit and Allison brands.

McLean takes over the role following the recent promotion of previous incumbent Kevin Dennis to the position of managing director of Penske Commercial Vehicles, running the Western star and MAN brands in Australia.

Penske said that McLean would be responsible for the management of on-highway sales and aftersales, product and technical support along with dealer development.

He will oversee the relationship with the OEM partners Western Star and Freightliner, as well as Allison sales and support functions.

“Sean brings with him a wealth of experience in heavy-duty diesel engines for the on-highway market, along with a strong passion for customer service,” said Rob Sisk, president and CEO of Penske Power Systems.

McLean expressed his excitement to join the Penske Power Systems team, having spent over 22 years building his career within Cummins South Pacific, most recently as its general manager for marketing and on-highway products.

“The Penske organisation in Australia and New Zealand is quickly gaining a reputation for its customer- focused approach to doing business in the on-highway market, and I look forward building upon this in my role,” McLean said.
