OUTSTANDING AHCIEVMENTS – ATA ANNOUNCES NATIONAL AWARDS

The ATA has announced its winners of the 2025 National Trucking Industry Awards, which it claims recognises industry excellence through its award program each year.

The ATA is the peak body representing truck industry operators which it claims numbers some 60,000 businesses and 200,000 people across the Australian trucking industry.

“The National Trucking Industry Awards recognise the businesses and individuals who make exceptional contributions to our great industry – and Australia,” ATA chair Mark Parry said.

“The winners of all our awards have shown enormous commitment to their individual businesses and the community, and they are examples for us all,” he said.

The 2025 National Trucking Industry Award winners included , Mark Tobin, Followmont Transport, who was awarded outstanding contribution to the Australian Trucking Industry,  Brad Train, of VE Group in Ipswich, who was awarded National professional driver of the year, Ann Lopez, of Lopez Bros in NSW who received National Trucking Industry woman of the year, Border Crane Consultants  in Wodonga, which won the National Trucking Industry Workforce Award, Jim Pearson Transport  in Port Macquarie which claimed the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award, and Kathy Williams AM, wh took out the coveted Don Watson Memorial Award.

The ATA announced its award winners  at its 2025 ATA Gala Awards Dinner, held on 30th April as part of the trucking’s industry’s premier, Trucking Australia 2025 in Adelaide , which it said featured 3 business sessions with 68 presenters and panellists as well as the dinner and other networking events.
